4 Days Morocco With Transportation From Marrakech

Your Tuareg guide speaking French, English, Darija (Moroccan Arabic) will be picking you up in Marrakech at 7.30 in a 4×4 with air conditioning. Then you will head toward Ouarzazate crossing the wonderful roads of the Atlas Mountains stopping in marvellous areas with great panorama for landscapes lovers. You will have the chance to visit the Kasbah Ait ben Haddou which is Moroccan Ksar inscribed on UNESCO’s world heritage. You will get lunch along the way.  You will continue going further south towards Zagora, the desert gate and Tamegroute. Here you will have the opportunity to see the ancient art of handmade Moroccan pottery at a pottery cooperative of 6 local families. Then you will spend the night next to Tagounit under a sky full of stars at Dar Talmoudi Riad. 

This is the family owned guesthouse. It is  located in a small village just outside the town of Tagounite. Additional nights can be added at your request. 

After breakfast, we will depart from Dar Talmoudi Riad. We will set out for a thrilling ride across the desert in the 4×4. We will take breaks along the way to learn the history of the ancient trade route to Timbuktu and about the plants of the desert that provide natural healing remedies that we still use today.  On our journey we will listen to traditional Moroccan music and talk about the history of this striking land. We will experience varied landscape on our way to meet and have tea with some friends that are still living as nomads in this harsh but alluring land. 

We will stop for lunch along the way. Perhaps under the shade of an acacia tree or at the home of a nomad family. 

Please advise us when you make your reservation, if you follow a vegetarian, vegan or dairy-free or gluten-free diet, we 

can accomodate for this with no problem. 

We will also see the sacred oasis, watering hole and well where the nomadic people and the animals of the desert gather for water. If we are lucky we will see donkeys and herds of camels or goats gathering here. It is a spectacular sight. When we reach the camp at Erg Chigaga, the largest dunes in the Moroccan Sahara Desert, we will enjoy traditional tea before setting out to explore the vastness of these great dunes. 

If you like, you can make your own caravan of camels and ride to the dunes to watch the sunset. The evening offers a traditional Moroccan dinner and live music around a fire (weather permitting) before retiring to the comfort of your cozy room. Overnight at Desert Camp.

In the morning, we will provide a beautiful full breakfast before setting out for our return trip. We will take a different route back so that you can experience other landscapes of this stunning land. This includes a stop at fossils mountain that was once an ocean and is a great place to find ancient fossils. 

We will also stop to see demonstrations at a Berber women carpet cooperative. Overnight in the Atlas Mountains among the Berber Villages.
